Topic Tracking Projects
Define the posts you want to find, filtering rules and reply direction, then choose manual search or ongoing tracking.
Manual tracking: set a search direction and review results.
Topic Tracking finds Threads or X posts about a topic you define and helps you decide which ones to reply to. You can search manually and review drafts, or let a project keep searching.
With Auto Send enabled, replies go out without individual approval. For your first project, check some search results and drafts before turning on automation. Generating drafts and running automation may use credits.
Create your first project
- Connect a Threads or X account in the social account connection page, then select the account you want to use.
- Open Topic Tracking and choose the option to add a topic.
- Fill in the target posts, your purpose or reply direction, and your role. Select “Create Topic Tracking Project.” Leave automation off if you want to try a manual search first.
For a rental service in Taipei, you could use:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Posts I'm looking for | People looking for a rental in Taipei |
| Why I'm finding posts / What I want to say | Find people who need a rental. Ask about their preferred area and budget first. Keep the reply natural and avoid opening with a sales pitch. |
| Your role | A consultant providing rental services in Taipei |
Keep the topic short. Put exclusions and instructions for specific situations in advanced rules. The reply-direction field currently does not accept URLs; describe what you want to say there.
Filter posts with advanced rules
Expand the advanced options below the reply direction. Each rule describes a situation and either excludes the post or sets requirements for the reply.
- A property agent advertising a listing, or someone who has already found a home: exclude the post.
- Someone asking about pet-friendly rentals: ask what kind of pet they have, then confirm the area and budget.
Reply rules can also include an image. Wait for the upload to finish before saving. AI can miss or misinterpret a condition, so review a few results and adjust the wording where needed.
Search and review results
Select a project, sort by top or recent posts, and choose any time, the past 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. For the rental example, start with the past 7 days.
Review the matching results and check the other results for posts that may have been missed. A relevant post does not necessarily indicate buying intent; read the original before replying.
Generate a draft for a suitable post, review and edit it, then decide whether to send it. If results are scarce, check the account connection, widen the time range or remove overly restrictive conditions.
Choose an automation mode
With automation enabled, set the send mode, daily reply limit and search time range. Available modes depend on your platform and plan; use the options actually offered in the editor.
| Mode | What happens after saving |
|---|---|
| Manual Review | The project keeps searching and prepares drafts for you to review before sending. |
| Auto Send | The project searches and sends replies according to your settings without individual approval. |
| No Comment | The project keeps searching without automatically posting comments. |
X does not support Auto Send. Manual Review on Threads requires an eligible plan. If it is unavailable, check your access rather than switching to Auto Send just to continue.
The daily reply limit is 1–40. It is a ceiling, not a promise that enough suitable posts will be found each day. Platform limits or insufficient credits can also affect execution.
The automation search time range is 1–30 days and controls how recent the posts must be. Choosing 7 days searches recent content; it does not stop the project after seven days. The time filter on the results page applies to that manual search. Edit the project settings to change the automation's search range.
Check whether a reply was sent
Use Reply History to review, edit, send or skip drafts awaiting approval. A generated draft has not been posted, and a scheduled reply has not been sent yet.
The Threads reply menu also offers a safe-reply option that opens Threads with your draft filled in. You still need to confirm and send it there. The name does not guarantee protection from platform restrictions.
For X, the reply action opens an X reply window; complete the send in X. An “opened” message only confirms that the window opened. If no window appears, check your browser's popup permissions.
LINE notifications and lead lists
To receive LINE notifications, connect the interaction channel through the social account connection page. Then enable automation and LINE integration in the project. You can choose tracking-result notifications and highly relevant post notifications. Tracking-result notifications are unavailable in No Comment mode.
To collect prospects automatically, enable “Automatically add to a lead list,” choose a destination and describe your criteria. For example: “People clearly looking for a rental in Taipei who have not found a home yet.” This requires automation and access to lead imports.
To save a single result, use its add-to-list action, choose a list and add a note. After importing, open Lead Lists to download a CSV.
Edit or pause a project
Open the menu on the right of the project list item, choose the topic and automation editing option, then save with “Update Project.” You can also manage execution status in the automation overview.
Pause automation when you want a temporary stop; delete the project only when you no longer need it. Check any scheduled replies separately in Reply History. Pausing should not be taken as confirmation that every scheduled reply has been cancelled.
If replies drift from your intent, pause the project, compare a few original posts and drafts, and revise the rules. For missing results or unsent replies, check the account connection, project status, mode, credits and feature access. If you need support, include the project name, time of the issue and the error shown on screen.
